AWARDS OF CERTIFICATE FOR THE TRAINING ASPECT OF THE FARMERS

M&B Seeds and Agricultural Services Ghana Ltd. recently celebrated a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to empowering local farmers through education and capacity building. In July, the company conducted a comprehensive training session in the Adaklu District of the Volta Region, focusing on best farming practices. This initiative is part of M\&B Seeds’ broader strategy to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability among smallholder farmers.

The training program encompassed both theoretical and practical components. Farmers participated in indoor sessions that covered modern agricultural techniques, followed by field demonstrations where they applied these methods under expert supervision. The hands-on approach ensured that participants could directly translate knowledge into practice, fostering a deeper understanding of efficient farming practices.

Upon completion of the training, participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their dedication to improving their agricultural skills and contributing to the sector’s growth. This certification not only acknowledges their efforts but also positions them to implement advanced farming techniques that can lead to increased yields and better livelihoods.

M&B Seeds’ initiative aligns with national efforts to promote the use of certified seeds and modern farming practices. According to the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Hardi Tufeiru, the adoption of certified seeds among Ghanaian farmers has risen from less than 10% to approximately 40% between 2017 and 2022, highlighting the impact of such training programs .

By investing in farmer education and providing access to high-quality seeds, M\&B Seeds continues to play a pivotal role in transforming Ghana’s agricultural landscape, ensuring food security, and enhancing the economic well-being of farming communities.
